On Friday, November 11th, I spent time on Park Point in Duluth to not only enjoy a cool snowy morning, but to also photograph the many surfers that came to ride the waves.

High winds from the northeast are building big waves on Lake Superior today and everyone is out enjoying the view.
We have very strong winds in Minnesota today which is causing some serious wave action on Lake Superior. I took a short drive to a spot just up the shore from Duluth called Stoney Point to see if there was a possible photo op, yep! Stoney Point is also the location of an old fishing shack, which has probably been photographed by every photographer in the area and beyond. Everyone has there own take on the relic, I’ve included one of mine.
Agitation, confusion, rock, water and sky,
step back from the edge, watch the spray fly,
get too close, you will not stay dry.
A walk on the beach at low tide…an opportunity for reflection.
