One of the most popular sites in Duluth is our Aerial Lift Bridge and the ship traffic that comes and goes with their various cargoes. On this particular morning, I was present for three ships, two arriving and one departing. Typically, for morning ship photography, I prefer to position myself on the south pier so that the morning sun highlights the side of the ships. Not knowing we were to be treated to the shipping traffic I was on the north pier for the two arrivals. For the departing ship I flew my drone out ahead of the ship so as to capture the ship with the Aerial Lift Bridge in the background.
